The One Where We Got Hitched!

We're actually married!! It still hasn't really set in. I keep telling him that it's weird. It finally happened.
The wedding day was SO perfect! I thought we were tied for the first couple to be married in the Draper Temple, but we really were the first. I don't think anyone else was even married that day. It was so nice! I think the pictures turned out great too, I haven't seen them yet, but if they post them, you know I will let you know! The only downfall to the whole day was that the weather was cold for pictures. Our toes were numb, but it was so worth it.
We went bowling after (to celebrate, kill time & include my nieces & nephews) and we had a blast.

My cute mom!!! (below)

Yep, I actually bowled in my dress!

I even got a higher score than Rick did!! Woot! I had to take a pic to prove it... he even got it printed out for me. G stands for Groom and B for Bride... we weren't paying attention to the game! :) (hence the low scores...)

We had a nice intimate dinner with our immediate family after. It was so good to be with everyone and to just relax and not have too much stress on our day.
We went to Las Vegas for the Honeymoon and it was so warm!! Rick surprised me with 2 things. We stayed in the Paris hotel the whole time (I'm kind of obsessed with Paris) and he bought me Blue Man Group tickets. We had a lot of fun walking the strip, playing some hands (one of the casino's had the card game War... it was a blast!!), seeing the free things that the hotels have & going up the Eiffel Tower at the Paris.

Our pool was right under the Eiffel Tower... and it was warm enough to swim and lay out!!

Yes... that's a lion above his head...

We found a hunting/fishing store inside a casino, so we had to stop. We found this sign...

Over all, it was a good vacation. Relaxing, warm & fun. What more can you ask for?

The One With Only 3 More Days Left!!

Rick and I have talked about our wedding day for so long, we honestly thought it would never come (okay, I never thought it would come...). :) But we have said a few times that it just seemed like a dream and now that it is finally real, it's just weird! But, we are both super excited!
Today has been busy already. 3 of Rick's youngest sisters slept over with me last night so we woke up and made crepes, then we played soccer in my back yard. I dropped them off and headed to Rick's to help him move some things. I should be showering right now... btw, but I thought blogging sounded better. Then, in about an hour, my brother is coming in from Arizona! I am so so so excited to see him and his family. My mom is taking us girls to get our nails done tonight, then more visiting with Spencer.
Tomorrow, we get to go to the Draper Temple Dedication. I am so thrilled that I get to see that, since we are gonna be the first and all. Then, more visiting with Spencer.

Monday is busy too. I have a waxing appointment... wish me luck! and I have a few errands to run... I should probably make a list of things to do so it all gets done. Oh, and I need to pick my flowers up.
Then Tuesday is the big day!! :)

My bridals are online... just go to www.highlitephotography.com then click on weddings, then click on wedding day proofing. Then next to the picture of me, type in the password "mtippetts" and you can view them! They did a good job!

The One WIth The Sneak Peek!!

I had a goal... and I know it's silly... but it was to make it on Highlite's blog, and guess what!!! I made it! For a sneak peek of some of my bridals go to http://highlitephotography.blogspot.com/ They did such a great job, I am thrilled! I can't wait to see the rest of them!
One of Rick's best friends took him on an overnight "bachelor party"... hunting... typical. So, I won't see him all day today or tomorrow. I miss him already, but I am trying to keep myself busy. I think tonight I will run to the store and grab some delicious ice cream and a chick flick. I will eat as much as I feel like :) This might just end up being a good night.
PS - ONLY ONE MORE WEEK!!!!!

The One With Only 9 Days Left!

So, yesterday I got my bridals taken downtown. I saw a few on the camera and I can't wait to see them online. They did such a good job! I will post a link as soon as they are up. I was so super lucky to have my mom-in-law do my hair and makeup. This pic is just off of my cell phone, but it gives you an idea.

PS - only 9 more days left!!! Woot!!!

The One With Only Two More Weeks Left!!

Woot! In two weeks from today we'll be married! I'm pretty excited that we planned it so quickly so it would go by fast. I'm all moved into my basement apartment. I just need to organize things, but it's starting to feel like home. I hated this place when we first looked at it, but it was the best deal, so we decided to take it. I love it already! We'd love to have any of you over! Just give me a little ring a ling!!

The One With All Of The Planning

Whew! What a week!!!
We found an apartment finally and I am moving out this weekend. I haven't started packing yet :) but it will be so nice to get everything settled in before it gets too close to the wedding. It's a basement apartment with a weird layout, but a good deal. It's up past 3000 East.
Wedding plans are just about done, I just need to get our marriage license and then we'll be set. I have my bridals scheduled coming up, I'm sure I'll post pics as soon as I get them. Then, on our wedding day, everyone is invited to the ceremony at the Draper Temple (PS- if you got an invite, you really need to be there at 7:30am... the temple told me 7:45 on the phone, but I just got a letter saying 7:30) but you are welcome to come weather you have an invite or not! We just sent invites to our close family. After that, everyone is invited to go bowling (where Rick and I had our first date) in Sandy on State Street, then we will have a lunch at Olive Garden on State Street (where Rick and I had our first date) for immediate family. We won't be having a reception. Check out our blog for the most recent updates.
