The One With A Day In Our Life

Besides sleeping and eating, we do a lot of this...

and cute little Paige likes to always hang out on her side like this...

and she LOVES it when we get to do this...

We're gonna miss it when these are covered in snow...

The One In Autumn TIme

Happy fall time!! It's so beautiful out, huh?!

We've been having fun, and keeping busy. I took Paige outside to take some pictures of her the other day, so here they are!

Super cute shoes from Grandma! She wouldn't be a Brunson without them.

I forgot a memory card at the pumpkin patch (my favorite tradition... tied with my daddy's Christmas morning dutch oven breakfast), and am waiting to get some pictures from my dad on a cd, so I thought I should get some pictures with her very first pumpkin ever. I think she likes it.

A friend just got married, so I made her a picture block, but I decided to make it different than the other ones I have done before. This one ended up to be my favorite. I think I need to make some for myself.

On a side note, I'm make tutorials from several of the crafts I made for Paige's nursery. Coming up next month I'll be featured on A Little Tipsy blog. I love that blog.

I also got a hair cut and we died it. You can't tell in this picture, but we added purple to the brown. It might be the shortest I have ever gone, but I'm enjoying it.

I've also taken lots of pictures in the past month or so, and have more to take this week, if the weather holds up. I'll post those pictures later.

The One With 2 Great Photo Shoots

A week or two ago, I had two photo shoots on the same day. I was so excited that they both went well. I was so excited, in fact, that I had them both edited the same day that I took the pictures!

The first was of {Baby P}. She is one of the babies that I have been lucky enough to follow through out her first year. She's been fun to watch grow. She was so good & cute at her 1 year old photo shoot!

The next was another special shoot. My brother is getting married!! We really couldn't be happier for him and Mandie! They are SO great together! I was excited that they asked me to take their pictures, and even more excited when I saw how great they turned out!

Aren't her eyes GORGEOUS!?!

I'm now booking photo shoots for spring mountain pictures for next month. This will be a great location for kids, families, and even senior pictures (it's not too late!!). Email or call me for dates and prices!

The One Where We're In Love . . .

. . . with our new, sweet baby!!

Meet Paige Erica Brunson.
Born February 18 (yes... 2 weeks early!) at 9:09 am
5 tiny lbs 8 oz, 18.5 inches.

I mentioned in the last post that I was having lots and lots of contractions, but they weren't all that painful. Well, Wednesday night, while Rick and I were at his dad's house, I noticed they were getting a little bit more intense, and told Rick maybe we'd have a baby in the next week. We then decided that we shouldn't get our hopes up.

We went to bed that night at about 10:30, and I woke up at 11:30 with very strong contractions every 15 minutes. I've never stayed awake all night and had it fly by as fast as that night. By 5:00 am my contractions were really, really intense and about 7 minutes apart, so we made our trip to the hospital. I was then dilated to a 5 and 80% effaced. They called my midwife and decided she would come in around 8. They told us to plan on delivering the baby around 1-3 that afternoon, so I rested (thank heaven for epidurals, btw!!!!!) and Rick slept.

Around 7:45 Rick woke up and I told him to go get himself some breakfast. While he was gone, my midwife came. While she was measuring me, she said, "you don't have a cervix!" I was in shock. It was only 8:00... we were supposed to wait like 5 more hours! She suggested we push just to see what happens, so I started pushing a little bit. Thankfully, Rick forgot his credit card, so he came back a little faster than he would have. He walked in while I was pushing, and I told him I was ready. He almost missed the birth! After only about 20 minutes of pushing, my midwife told me to help deliver her. It sounds weird, but I am so glad I did. Paige grabbed onto my finger as I brought her onto my chest, and it was the most amazing feeling. I cried, of course. She looked like a tiny old man, but I was so in love with this little stranger. I loved the whole experience and would do it again in an instant (don't worry... we're not planning on that for a while... then again, we weren't planning on this time...). :)

She looks just like her dad, so her middle name is Erica... kind of like Rick. :)

She had a hard time learning to suck, even a bottle, and we're still really working on nursing, but she's been great. She would sleep through the night already if I would let her. She also has acid reflux, so we have to burp her for half an hour after every feeding, because she choked quite a few times in the hospital. That was a scary thing to see. The poor girl.

She only lost 3 oz in the hospital, and then half an oz since then, so we're paying close attention to feeding her often so she can gain some weight, even though she hasn't lost too much. She's just so tiny to begin with. She's a great baby so far, and we can't stop looking at her. I've LOVED watching Rick with her... that was what I was the most excited for while I was pregnant. Which, btw, I am really surprised that I don't miss being pregnant. I had such a great pregnancy, and I thought I would really miss feeling her inside of me, but so far, I feel great and just love having her here.

The pictures are all of her first day with us, but she has changed so much already in this busy week. I haven't taken as many pictures as I would have liked to, since we've been so busy teaching her to nurse and waking her up to eat (it can sometimes take an hour to wake her up, and then the minute she starts eating, she's out again). You can be sure I'll post more pictures later... after my naps!

The One WIth The Picture Updates

I've been taking pictures about once a week lately. Since Rick takes my laptop to work so he can take his classes online, I don't see my laptop as much as I used to. So, it's time to play catch up on the most recent pictures I've taken.

My family started a tradition last year of going to the pumpkin patch and picking out pumpkins. At this pumpkin patch, there are all sorts of tractors that the kids always love to play on. I only had my point and shoot camera, so I didn't get very many good pictures, but I loved the cheesiness in this picture. I love my nieces and nephews. They each bring so much happiness into our family.

Some friends from our ward wanted some pictures taken, so we went up to Silver Lake, thinking the leaves would be pretty. Well, unfortunately, the snow was still there! We got some good pictures, but we'll do a mini shoot soon as the leaves hit the valley so they have more pictures to chose from.

Baby P is 6 months old already!! Her mom did a good job picking out some fun outfits!

Baby C is Baby P's cousin. He is 1 year old now! It's been really fun to see him grow up. I'm making a photo book of his first year, you can check out my website to see it. I hope to have more time today to work on that, and get it finished.

My beautiful cousin Candice had another fashion show coming up, so we went to her mom's art studio to get some fun shots. I loved the character of the studio, and as usual, she had some great clothes too.

I just did some cute pictures for my close friend Magyn & her family. I knew that we got some good ones, but I was pleasantly surprised when I started editing them last night! Here are a couple.
