The One With My Grateful Ramblings

You know that feeling that you get when you have been so sick for a long time and you are starting to feel better now? Well, if you know, then you know what I am feeling right now! I love that feeling. You just feel so appreciative and kind of have a better outlook on life. Cheesy, I know. But it's true.
I had such a nasty sinus infection, and it just would not go away. I made poor Rick take me to urgent care on Sunday, and the doctor gave me some antibiotics, thankfully! I just started my new job, so I didn't want to have to call in sick. Well, in the past, the antibiotics usually kick in and make me feel a little better every day. Not this time :( I ended up calling in sick to work on Tuesday and Thursday. On Wednesday, they even told me to go home a little bit early. I am glad that they were so understanding. I felt really bad leaving them high and dry so soon. Since I am pregnant, I couldn't take very much. I finally called my mid wife and they told me of some things I could take. Those helped a little, but on Thursday, I was just as bad as I was on Sunday. It was pretty frustrating.
Well, last night I decided that I had just had it. I asked Rick for a blessing. It seemed to be a more special experience than normal. After the blessing, I could breathe all night long (what a relief!) and I woke up feeling lots better. I still don't feel 100%, but it's just so nice to feel this much better!

PS- We find out if our baby is a boy or a girl on October 5... it's coming up!!!

The One Where...

I got a job!

It's very confusing, but I kind of work for the same company. The pay is less, and it is a different position, but I am happy to have a job again. I started today. It's easy, that's the good news, but the bad news is that it is boring. I might just have to take up reading now. It is a temp job, which is good. Hopefully, it will last until I have the baby. Also, it's been nice. They haven't had to train me, and I already know everyone.

But yay!

The One With Some Random Updates

I have to admit, I've really enjoyed this week... including being lazy and not having to go to work. I have had some interviews, so we'll see what happens. I really am working hard to find something, don't get me wrong. I just have enjoyed being able to make Rick lunches, clean the house, make him dinners, watch my favorite shows, and spend more time with family.

We went to the fair on Monday. It poured rain! But, it was good to see some of the family. Of course, I left my camera in the car, and my umbrella was broken. :) Part of the reason why we went on Monday was because the Fair always has an all you can eat ice cream tent. My family is big on ice cream (although, so is Rick's family...). The kids LOVED it, even though we were freezing from the rain. They were hyper, and got more and more hyper with each bite they took. I tried to secretly catch a video on my phone of them, but they instantly noticed I was filming them. I'm not sure how to post videos, but maybe I'll try to add it on later. I love those kids. I love that I turn into one of them when I am the only adult sitting at the kids table. When I got home, I instantly took off my soaked socks, got in some WARM pj's and slippers, then made me some delicious hot chocolate!

My mom and I made 30 jars of jam on Tuesday night. I love that I see my mom at least one night a week now (that is because Rick has been working 12-13 hour days for the past month... I don't know how he does it!).

On Tuesday, I also had a doctor appointment. The heartbeat was 166, and I scheduled my ultrasound for October 13. I might reschedule it to be the week before (the Dr said I could), depending on the schedule I get when I get a job. Vote (to your right) on if you think I am having a boy or a girl!! They have changed my due date quite a bit. As for now, we are planning on March 2, so I am 16 weeks... again this week. :) The first due date my Dr gave me was January 31. I knew at the time that that date was wishful thinking, so it's not a huge surprise.

I have been meaning to post pictures I have taken for about a month now, but Rick usually takes my lap top with him to work so he can do his masters classes online in between jobs, and all of my pictures are on there. One day I will catch up with them. :)

Tonight is The Office's Season Premiere!! I am stoked. I plan to make zucchini bread today as well. Although, I forgot to get my mom's recipe from her on Tuesday... Oh well, I will figure it out! Maybe, if I get time, I'll run by Rick's dad's house and drop some off (depending on how much I get out of it, too...), it's been weeks since we have seen them.

Well, that's kind of my life in a nutshell right now. I am a very lucky lady to have Rick and that he works so hard for our family.

The One With The Week I've Been Looking Forward To

Well, this past week hasn't been ideal. I got laid off of my job on Tuesday, so I have been looking for a new one all week. No luck yet. If you know of anything, let me know!
Although, I am sure excited for this upcoming week. Tomorrow morning I get to take the young women to the temple. I am really excited to feel of the calmness that the temple gives me. On Monday, my family is going to the Fair! Then, on Tuesday, I will have my next Dr. Appointment, and I will get to schedule our ultrasound. I also have a photo shoot this week that I am pretty excited about. If I end up with time, I'll even make some zucchini bread!
I'm really glad I have had these things to look forward to!

The One Where . . .

I've been feeling the baby!!!

It's the softest little touch, I love it.

I have been surprised that I have felt it almost every day for about 4 days now. I didn't think I would feel it this soon, nor did I think I would feel it that often. I have heard that it comes and goes, so I SURE hope I am not jinxing myself (as I usually do) by posting about it.

I have a cute little baby!!! :)
