The One We've All Been Waiting For!!!

Oh my!!!!! I am SO happy! On Tuesday, Rick sent me a text saying that he got his letter, since my papers were submitted a week after I figured mine would come the next week, but around 5:00 that night, my dad sent me a text saying that I got my letter too! Thankfully we are all good to go.
We spent 5 hours that night discussing our location (Vegas or Salt Lake County) as you know this has been a pressing topic for me. :) It just got too late that night and we didn't make any decisions, but this morning I called the Draper Temple and scheduled the first possible time to be sealed in the temple! I am SO excited to say that we will be the first couple married in the temple. (I like to brag about this... watch out!) :) I am SO excited!

My mom scheduled a time for some of my family to go through the temple open house tonight, and it couldn't have been any more perfect! It was so amazing! They let me be in the room I will be married in and I was so happy I started to cry! It was such a special thing. Thank heaven my mom scheduled that time for us so perfectly.
So, one month from now I will be a married woman! I am on cloud 9 and can't sleep! Check out my wedding blog, I will keep updating that as time goes on.
So, the big day is ... (drum roll, please!) ... March 24, 2009 at 8:00am.

The One With The Parties

So, you know how people throw Mary Kay parties, and Home Decorating parties, and Toy parties ;) and Scentsy parties and last but not least pampered chef parties? Well, I am thinking about having Photography Parties! Maybe each will have a theme (eg. high school seniors, or babies, or toddlers, etc.). I'm still working out all of the kinks, but I think it would be great! Let me know if any of you are interested!!

PS- Rick bought me a camera (I lost mine... and I love him!!) so I will be posting more pictures more often! Yay!

The One Without the Letter

I didn't get my letter today. They meet on Thursdays to do sealing cancellations, so the first half of the week is when I will receive my letter.
I'm not gonna lie, this has been a hard trial for me. I've been engaged for 6 months, not knowing when I am going to get married. We originally just wanted to be engaged for 2 months max.
I am very grateful, though that this is possible. It's just sometimes hard to do the right thing. Looking back, if I knew it was going to be this long, we definitely would have just got married, then sealed in the temple in a year (since we would be 6 months ahead, and there is no guarantee that they will say yes). But, knowing what I know now, I am glad we are waiting. Just as long as they say yes (I am extremely nervous that they will say no, sometimes I get physically sick just thinking about it) and soon. :) I am trying to be positive, though. We are learning a lot about each other, and we are able to earn more money this way, and lots of other good things.
But. like I have said before, it is in the Lord's hands, and really, who's hands would be better than that? Pray for me that I will have patience!

The One With The Good Weekend

On Friday, before my boss told us to go home early (I LOVE early days... especially early Fridays!), he threw a large bill on my desk and told me it was my drinking money (even though he knows I don't drink). Yes, I do have a great job!
On Saturday, Rick and I were planning on going up to a cabin with some friends of his family, but someone got sick, so they decided not to go. Rick and I still wanted to do something fun, so we decided to go to Wendover. We drove the 2 hours out there, and started our fun. We started with our favorite . . . roulette. As we had been sitting there for a bit (I was doing pretty well... I always do... I have a talent for gambling) :) a couple came, didn't even sit down, and put $50 on the greens (which RARELY get hit). They won! It was pretty cool that the only hand they played, they won big.

A little while later a girl came up that was new to the game (beginners luck... I don't get it!) so we were watching her bets the whole time, sometimes following her. She was betting on the same 4 spots on the inside every time. She made some comment about that she had to bet on 30, because that is how old she is. So, without thinking one bit, I said, "Oh! I am 22!" so I put $4 on 22. BAM! I won! It was so fun! I loved it. Needless to say, we almost tripled my drinking money, thanks to my boss!

The One With One Of My Cute Nephews!

So, today I am trying to take as many classes online as possible (my boss is paying for me to go to school to become an agent). I am having a hard time finding time and motivation lately to get it done. :) In order to make it more interesting, I decided to blog while I listen.
The other day I baby sat some of my nephews so my brother and his wife could go to the temple. This cute little one kept making me smile all night. I caught him drinking straight out of the carton of chocolate milk, then playing with my (only) pair of pointy toed heels.

He always loves for me to take pictures of him, and since I lost my point and shoot camera (I'm so sad! Does anyone know where it is?!) I just use my camera on my phone. One time a while ago, I went to watch his brother sing at a school Christmas concert, he wanted me to take pictures of inside his mouth. So he did the same for me.

He's such a stud! I love all of my cute nieces and nephews! They make me so happy! Being an aunt is the best.

The Other One With The Updates

Another week has come and gone!

Work is still great and extremely busy. I am always drained when I get home from work, even though it is an office job, but it takes a lot out of me. I love it though. I could use a nap every now and then though :)

Our papers are officially into the First Presidency! YAY! My dad said it may take up to one month for us to hear back from them, so more waiting, but I am hoping it may be sooner.

I added a gadget to my sidebar. You can vote to say which temple you think we should be married in. :) You know what I voted for!

Last night we watched Groundhog Day, since it was Groundhog Day... Good movie. We might go out to shushi for Valentines Day... Woot!

That's about it for now. I LOVE YOU ALL!!
