The One With The Engagement Pictures & The Update

I hope you all had a great Christmas!

I didn't quite want to go to bed tonight, so I decided to post. I know most of you have seen these, but I just got the blog version of my engagement pics, so I thought I could post them, since I love them so much :)

Also, if any of you are interested, here is our wedding blog.

I am always updating it, and the date on there is VERY tentative, we keep having to push it back because our sealing cancellation is taking a lot loner than planned. Good news is, though, I think we are on the downhill slope. As far as mine is concerned they just got the letter from my ex and my bishop interviewed me. From there, my bishop needs to write a letter to Rick's bishop for some reason and a letter to the first presidency, then he sends all of the paperwork to the stake president (good thing my dad is in the stake presidency, I have sweet connections there) and he has to interview me and send papers in, and then the first presidency takes charge. So, I know this is VERY unlikely, but at the soonest, if they each took a week, we could get the grand okay in three weeks, and we would plan for a date around 1 month after that. Yikes, we are coming up on being engaged for 5 months now, and still not a date set. Oh well, I've been told that every thing happens on God's time and I have heard some cool stories about that, so even though it can be hard to be patient, I am doing my best. :) It's all in God's hands, and really, who's hands would be better than His?

The One Where 'Tis The Season

Well, it's that time of year again! As if the normal hustle and bustle isn't enough, I got a new job that keeps me extremely busy, and I am really enjoying it. I just wanted to type up a quick post telling all of you how much I love and appreciate you, since this is the season. I have GREAT friends and family! I hope you ALL have a VERY merry Christmas!!!

The One About The Color Blue

A year or so ago I took a photography class. I really enjoyed it. I was looking through a bunch of my old pictures and I enjoyed reminiscing. One assignment we had was to use color to describe emotion. We had to pick a song or poem and then take pictures that weren't literal, but used color to explain the feeling in the poem or song. I don't even remember the poem I picked, but my color was blue (calm, relaxing, etc.). I spent weeks on this assignment. I drove up to Park City to get a picture of hot air balloons lifting off, but the weather was bad that day so they didn't do it, so I just drove around beautiful Park City and then I went down to the Great Salt Lake (twice) for some more pictures. I even set up a little studio in my house to take pictures of a flower with a blue background. I really enjoyed & learned a lot from this project, and had fun looking at the pictures, so I thought I would post a few. Enjoy!

The One With Some Family Pictures

My cousin asked me to take some pictures of her family, so we went to Wheeler Farm. She has 2 really cute and active boys, we had fun. I still might edit them a bit more, but I loved the colors she picked for them. I think we got some good ones!

The One Where Everyone Tackled Rick

So tonight, my parents were supposed to baby-sit some of my nephews, but my mom was sick, so they called Rick and me. I was glad Rick was there, the boys love him! They always love to tackle him and have him play video games with them. They kept jumping on him over and over and over again. This pic is very blurry, for once all I had was my cell for a camera, so it will have to do. We had a fun night.

The One With The Up And Coming Photographers

Nothing really new today. Thanksgiving was fun, we had a few and ate lots of good grub. It was good to see lots of family.
Tonight we had my brother's family over for dinner for my sister-in-law's birthday dinner. Some of the boys discovered something new they liked to do - take pictures! I'll post a few since they will be the next famous photographers.
