It's my 100th post!
With time nearing the end of my pregnancy (4 more weeks!) and since I haven't been working, I have been focusing a lot of time towards the baby's nursery. I can only sit and watch tv so much, so I've been crafting it up. Her room still needs a lot of work, and possibly some more rearranging, but I am getting there. If she came now, it would be okay (as far as her room goes), even if she doesn't have her mobile up, or anything on the walls.
People have asked me to post pictures of her room & the crafts I have been working on, so why not share with you on my 100th post? We have been so grateful to have all of her furniture donated from different friends and family, and somehow, they all look like it's a matching set! I was so so happy about that. Below is her crib and bedding... notice the cute hat boxes to the side of her crib. I bought those back when we first found out it was a girl from Down East. I love them so much.
I have been looking at far too many craft blogs lately (so much that I wake myself up at night thinking of crafts... ) and at the DI looking for random objects I can incorporate into my crafts for the baby's nursery.
The first craft I have finished for Paige's room are these two topiaries. I love them, and they were so easy & cheap! I know, they aren't exactly baby-ish or baby friendly, but I like the baby nurseries that have a couple of "adult" accessories.
Cost break down:
Pink buckets: $0.50 each at DI
Floral inserts: $1.00 each at the dollar store
Sticks: Free from my back yard... :)
Pink Ribbon: Free from the stash of fabric my mom gave to me to use on all of my crafting adventures.
Foam Floral Balls: $2.50 each at Wal-Mart
Moss: $1.00 at the dollar store
All in all I'm spending far too much time making all of these crafts (I'll post the pictures for the others as I finish them), but thankfully I have been able to not spend too much money on them!
Hopefully my next project that will be finished will be her crib mobile. I just have to figure out how to hook it to the ceiling, and then I can get'er done. I've also been working on some name placks to hang on the wall.
I'm officially declaring myself a crafting geek.

The One With Some Updates
It's update time!
I've been lucky enough to get unemployment. So, even though I haven't been working as hard as my husband, it's been good to feel like I am still helping out a little financially, and hopefully taking a little bit of stress off of him. His full time job cut his hours a couple of weeks ago, so Rick found another part time job... that makes three! He starts his new job today. It's a blessing in disguise because this way he is getting some accounting experience, so when he graduates, he will have a better chance of getting hired. I'm a proud wifey.
We had what will be our last little mini trip before the baby is born. Over the weekend, we went to Logan to visit some friends, so Rick could go hunting, and to watch the Aggies beat Boise State (I've always loathed Boise State...). It was nice to get away, even if it wasn't far or for long.
My sinus infection has come and gone a few times since December, but never got bad enough for me to go to the doctor... that is until yesterday. I was struggling breathing, and felt like an elephant was sitting on my chest, so we went into the ER. They did a cat scan & an EKG to make sure I didn't have any blood clots or pneumonia. Thankfully it wasn't quite that bad. The doctor said that my sinus infection has traveled down to my lungs and is developing into bronchitis. He gave me a prescription of antibiotics, and I am already feeling much better (partly because I had the best nights sleep in a week, I am sure). So now I am at the stage where I am on cloud 9 and very grateful for feeling good.
I'm 34 weeks now & have just a little over a month until my due date. It's flown by so fast! We've had so many family and friends help us out with furniture and other baby stuff. Everyone has been so generous, and we appreciate it so much! It's awesome, too, because our furniture for the baby came from 2 different people, and yet they all match perfectly! That was something I was thrilled about. I am still trying to organize her room and make a couple more decorations, then I will finally post pictures. Every time I finally get the room organized, more people give us more things to put in her room! She even has a closet full of clothes already. Thank you so much everyone!!

The One With All Of The Hiccups!
I think it's funny that every morning and night at the same time, Paige gets the hiccups. In the morning it's right about 9:30 - 10:30 am, and in the evenings between 8:30 - 9:30 pm. It's been this way for over a week now, without fail. The very first time I ever felt her have the hiccups, I felt her in the bottom of my uterus towards my back. It was the weirdest feeling... even more weird than the first time I ever felt her.
A couple of weeks ago, Rick wondered if he could scare the hiccups out of her. It was almost midnight and she just wouldn't stop, so Rick snuck up to my belly and yelled louder than I have ever heard him yell. Our poor neighbors... but it was hilarious. I still laugh about it occasionally. It worked! She stopped right then. Rick felt so bad after that, the poor fetus in my uterus.

The One Where I Am Embarrassed . . .
I was just looking through my old pictures and found this one...
It was taken over a year ago, and it's still the talk of Rick's family. Why didn't I post this picture when we first took it, you ask? Well, I suppose I was trying to gain the courage to allow the whole world to see it. :)
I am so in love with him, and LOVE that he makes me laugh every day. He has an amazing, sweet and happy personality, always trying to make me happier than I already am. He's one heck of an amazing guy... don't let the picture fool you.
